Welcome to California Poker.CA
Keep up with the fight for regulated and licensed online poker in California at CaliforniaPoker.CA. California is the hub for poker with over 100 live poker rooms and the home of the world’s largest poker room, the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles which features over 200 poker tables.
Yet the state of California has still not passed legislation explicitly legalizing online poker in the state, even though Californians WANT IT. New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware have all passed state laws specifically legalizing online poker, but California’s elected officials continue to disregard the opinions of its residents.
Two-Thirds of Californians Support Online Poker
Over two-thirds of Californian’s want legislation passed to legalize online poker in the state. A recent poll conducted by the Coalition for Consumer and Online Protection – C4COP.org – shows that 68% of Californian voters support the regulation of online poker.
Online Poker Support

78% of Democrats and 58% of Republicans support online poker.
88% of Asian Americans, 72% of Latino Americans, 69% of African Americans, and 66% of Caucasians support online poker.
So who doesn’t support online poker? The biggest antagonist is multi-billionaire and casino owner, Sheldon Adelson. Adelson is the owner of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. and is estimated to be worth over $28 billion, and he’s willing to spend whatever it takes to squash online poker. It’s obvious to many that Adelson just simply wants to protect his casino revenues although his argument hypocritically takes the moral ground of the sins of online gambling.
How can we fight back? Show your support for bills AB-2291 and SB-1366. Read the bills yourself and help us spread the word!
